Meet Donna

Donna Cannal is the founder of Oaktree Home Help, a friendly and reliable home help service based in Kidderminster. With over a decade of experience supporting people in healthcare environments, Donna has built her career around helping others maintain comfort, independence and dignity in their everyday lives.

Donna began her professional journey working in retail before moving into the healthcare sector more than 12 years ago, where she discovered her true passion for supporting people. She started as a Healthcare Assistant, completing extensive professional training including First Aid, Safeguarding, Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Medication Administration, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Basic Life Support, Dementia Awareness, Parkinson’s Awareness and End of Life Care.

Through dedication, professionalism and a strong commitment to high standards, Donna progressed to the roles of Team Leader and later Care Co-ordinator, where she was responsible for organising staff rotas, supporting care teams, carrying out quality spot checks and ensuring services operated safely and efficiently.

One of the aspects of her career Donna is most proud of is delivering in-house mandatory training and refresher courses, helping new carers develop their skills and confidence as they began their careers. Supporting both clients and colleagues allowed her to develop a deep understanding of what compassionate, person-centred support truly means.

Drawing on her years of experience working closely with people and families, Donna founded Oaktree Home Help to provide practical support for those who simply need a little extra help around the home. The service focuses on everyday assistance such as shopping, meal preparation, light housework, gardening, dog walking and companionship visits.

Donna believes that small acts of support can make a big difference in someone’s day. Her goal is to provide friendly, reliable home help services in Kidderminster and the surrounding areas, helping people remain comfortable, independent and supported in their own homes.
